Furthermore, as the economy collapses, government payments for unemployment, welfare, health care will soar, driving the deficits to unimaginable heights, further destroying the dollar.

There is no indication that any politicians in either party are prepared to tell the truth about the magnitude of our financial mess, and they are certainly not in a belt tightening mode. More evidence that we are in the “bread and circuses” phase of the decline and fall of the American empire.
