They want to be called flight attendants, and if you don't buckle your seatbelt "for your own safety" when they tell you to (while they are traipsing up and down the aisles hawking duty-free cigarettes), they will call the cops to arrest you at the gate when the plane touches down. Welcome to the friendly skies! (And thank you airworker unions!)
